Selling should take a photo, not an afternoon.

unKeep removes the three things that make other marketplaces a chore, and a risk: the listing you have to write, the stranger you have to trust, and the parcel you have to ship.

Snap a photo. That is the listing.

No forms, no descriptions, no pricing research. AI drafts the title, condition and a fair price from your photos. You just confirm.

Cash on collection. No scams.

You meet, you check the item, you pay cash in person. No card details shared with strangers, no parcel that never arrives, no chargebacks. A QR handover confirms it.

Nothing ships. Nothing is binned.

Everything is collected locally, by hand. No couriers, no packaging, no delivery emissions. One more thing given a second life instead of landfill.

How it works

01

Photograph it

Point your camera at the thing you no longer keep. One photo is enough; more is better.

A title, description, condition and a fair price, drafted in seconds. Edit anything, then confirm a whole pile at once.

Someone collects it

Buyers nearby reserve and pick a collection time from your availability. You are paid in cash on collection. No shipping, no packing, no faff.

Reserving an item charges a £1.00 reservation fee to your card straight away and gives you the exclusive right to collect it within a fixed 1-hour slot you choose when you reserve. The fee is for the reservation service: we reserve the item, take it off the market for other buyers, reveal the seller's street and postcode (the exact address unlocks on the morning of your collection day, keeping their home private until then), and arrange the QR-confirmed collection. You pay the seller the full price in cash at collection; the £1.00 is separate and never deducted from it. You must collect within your 1-hour slot: the fee is non-refundable if you cancel or do not collect within it (a no-show), which also applies an automatic downvote to your rating. If the collection cannot go ahead through no fault of yours, say the seller cancels, does not turn up or the item is not as described, we refund the £1.00. You and the seller each get a reminder about 24 hours and about 2 hours before collection. There is no commission.

For buyers

The bargain is already down the road.

Browse what people near you are clearing out, reserve it at the asking price or make the seller a private offer, then collect it in person, often the same day. No public bidding wars, no delivery waits, no surprises: an offer is just between you and the seller. Want it found for you? Put the Buyer Agent on the hunt: it watches unKeep for the listings you want, proposes matches and prompts you to reserve, and never auto-reserves.

A marketplace that doesn't move things across the country. It moves them on, next door.

Every collection is in person, so every sale is zero-shipping and zero delivery emissions. That is the whole point: keep good things in use, locally, instead of in landfill.

Our green pledge

2.5%

of all revenue from the £1 reservation fee goes to UK environmental charities working to give good things a second life instead of a place in landfill. Because every sale is collected in person, just down the road, there is no van, no courier and almost no transport carbon. We are partnering with UK charities that share these values, so a small fee keeps useful things in use, keeps emissions down, and keeps you connected to your own neighbourhood.

Buying and collecting
How do I find something to buy?

Browsing is free and UK-wide for everyone: you see items the whole country over, nearest first. A free account can make offers and reserve within 15 miles of home; the Ultra Radius plan lets you reserve and collect anywhere in the UK. Before you reserve, you see only an approximate area, which keeps sellers' addresses private. There is no subscription to browse: you only pay unKeep's £1 reservation fee per reservation.

What happens when I reserve an item?

Reserving charges unKeep's £1 reservation fee to your saved card straight away (separate from the cash price you pay the seller). For that fee unKeep reserves the item, takes it off the market for other buyers, reveals the seller's street and postcode so you can plan your journey, and arranges the QR-confirmed collection. The exact address and precise map pin unlock on the morning of your collection day, keeping the seller's home private until then. You choose a fixed 1-hour collection slot when you reserve and must collect within it; on collection you show your single-use QR code for the seller to scan.

How do I pay and complete the collection?

You meet the seller in person within your reserved 1-hour slot, inspect the item, and if you are happy you pay the seller the full agreed price in cash. unKeep never handles that money. You show your single-use QR code and the seller scans it with their camera to confirm collection. After a completed collection you and the seller rate each other. Items are sold as seen, so there are no returns through the app.

Can I offer less than the asking price?

Yes. You can reserve at the seller's asking price straight away, or make an offer below it. An offer is private and one to one between you and that seller: it is never a public auction or a bidding war, and other buyers never see it. The seller sees your offer alongside your rating and accepts or rejects it. A pending offer expires after 24 hours if the seller does not respond. Making an offer is free; you pay nothing unless you go on to reserve.

What happens after a seller accepts my offer?

When a seller accepts, you are invited to reserve at the agreed price and have 24 hours to do so, after which the acceptance expires. An accepted offer does not take the item off the market, so anyone reserving at the full asking price can still secure it first; reserve promptly to lock it in. The £1 reservation fee is charged only when you reserve, whether at the asking price or via an accepted offer. If your offer is below the seller's private minimum it is declined automatically and you are simply told it was too low; the seller's minimum is never shown to buyers.

Will I be reminded before I collect?

Yes. You and the seller both get a reminder notification about 24 hours before, and again about 2 hours before, your agreed collection time, so neither of you misses it.

Can I change my collection time?

Yes, once per reservation. Open the reservation, tap Amend collection time, and pick a new slot from the seller's availability (the seller confirms it). To change it again you would need to cancel and reserve again, which means a new £1 reservation fee.

The £1 reservation fee
What is the £1 when I reserve?

It is unKeep's reservation fee, a platform service fee for facilitating your reservation: reserving the item, taking it off the market for other buyers, revealing the seller's street and postcode (the exact address unlocks on the morning of collection), and arranging the QR-confirmed collection. It is charged immediately when you reserve, so the £1 leaves your account at that point. It is not a deposit, wallet, stored value, or money held by unKeep.

Can I get the £1 reservation fee back?

The fee is non-refundable if you cancel your reservation or do not collect within your reserved 1-hour slot (a no-show), because you paid for the reservation service and unKeep provided it. It is refunded where the collection cannot go ahead through no fault of yours: the seller cancels, delists, does not turn up, the item is not as described, or the seller closes their account, or unKeep cancels (for example a prohibited item or a takedown). Refunds are automatic where unKeep can determine fault; otherwise contact us and we refund.

What if I miss my collection slot?

When you reserve, you choose a fixed 1-hour collection slot, and you must collect within it. If your slot ends without you collecting, it counts as a no-show: the £1 reservation fee you already paid is not refunded, and an automatic downvote is applied to your rating. The fee was taken when you reserved, so nothing extra is charged. If you cannot make your slot, amend it once before it starts (if the seller has another free) or cancel. If the collection fails through the seller's fault, you are refunded and not penalised.

The seller did not turn up. How do I report it?

Report it from the reservation while you are at the collection address, during your slot (from when it starts until an hour after it ends). To keep this fair to sellers, the app takes a one-off location reading and checks you were actually at the collection point before it refunds your £1 and clears your rating. We use that reading only for this check and do not track your location. If your location cannot be confirmed or you cannot get there, contact us and we will look into it.

Is the £1 part of the price I pay the seller?

No. The £1 reservation fee is entirely separate from the item price. You pay the seller the full agreed price in cash, in person, at collection; the £1 is never deducted from it or set against it. unKeep never handles, holds, or routes the goods money and is not a party to the sale. It is unKeep's reservation fee only, one per reservation, and you can have up to 5 active reservations at a time.

Selling and listings
How does the AI draft and price my listing?

You photograph the item and unKeep's AI drafts a title, description, condition, and a suggested price from the photos. You review it, edit anything, and confirm before it goes live, so you stay in control. The draft is a starting point and can be wrong, so always check it. Everyone gets 10 free listings a month, even before you subscribe.

How many listings do I get?

Everyone gets 10 free listings every calendar month, no subscription needed, and they reset at the start of each month. The Seller Agent plan (£9.99/month) adds 100 a month on top, for 110 in total. If you need more, the Extra Listings add-on is a one-time pack: £4.99 buys a pack of 25 listings. You can buy as many packs as you need and they never expire, but they are used only after your monthly allowance is used up that month. Packs do not auto-renew and are non-refundable. Creating or using multiple accounts (for example multiple email addresses) to get more than the 10 free listings a month is prohibited.

Can buyers offer below my asking price?

Buyers can reserve at your asking price, or make an offer below it. Each offer is private and one to one, shown to you with the buyer's rating, and you simply accept or reject it; a pending offer expires after 24 hours. You can set a private minimum (a floor) so any offer below it is declined automatically, and the buyer is only told it was too low. Your floor is never shown to buyers. Accepting an offer invites that buyer to reserve at the agreed price within 24 hours, but does not take the item off the market, so a direct reserve at your full asking price can still secure it first. You receive the agreed price in cash at collection; offers cost nothing and unKeep still takes no commission.

How do I get paid, and is there commission?

You are paid in cash, in person, at collection: the buyer pays you the full agreed price directly. unKeep never handles that money and takes no commission, transaction fee, or cut of any sale. unKeep's only charges are your subscription and any optional add-ons. If a buyer fails to collect through their own fault, you keep your listing live to re-list and the buyer receives an automatic downvote to their rating; the buyer's £1 reservation fee is unKeep's own service fee and is not paid out to you.

The Buyer Agent
What is the Buyer Agent?

It is an optional subscription (£9.99/month) that watches (hunts) unKeep for the listings you want, up to 5 hunts at once. Tell it what you are after, set a budget and any must-have features, and it watches new listings in your collection radius. When it finds a strong match it proposes the match and prompts you to reserve it; it never auto-reserves, so you stay in control of every reservation.

Does it reserve things for me automatically?

No. The Buyer Agent never reserves anything on your behalf. It hunts and prompts you when it finds a strong match, and you decide whether to reserve. The usual £1 reservation fee applies only when you choose to reserve, and follows the normal rules: charged immediately, non-refundable if you cancel or do not collect within your reserved 1-hour slot, and refunded if the collection cannot go ahead through the seller's fault.

Plans, prices and radius
What is free and what do I pay for?

Browsing is free with no subscription, and there is no commission. When you reserve an item you pay unKeep's £1 reservation fee (charged immediately, non-refundable if you cancel or no-show, refunded on seller fault). Listing is free up to 10 listings a month; creating or using multiple accounts (for example multiple email addresses) to get more than the 10 free listings a month is prohibited. The subscription plans are the Seller Agent (£9.99/month), which adds 100 listings a month on top of the free 10 (110 in total), the Buyer Agent (£9.99/month) and Ultra Radius (£4.99/month). The one add-on is Extra Listings: a one-time, repeatable pack of 25 listings for £4.99 (not a subscription, it does not auto-renew). unKeep takes no commission; the buyer pays the seller the full price in cash.

What is the collection radius, and can I extend it?

Browsing is free and UK-wide for everyone, so you can see items anywhere in the country. The radius applies to reservations: a free account can make offers and reserve within 15 miles of home. The Ultra Radius plan (£4.99/month) lets you reserve and collect anywhere in the UK. It is available to buyers and sellers, and you can take it on its own without any other plan.

Do prices include VAT?

Yes. All advertised subscription and add-on prices include VAT where it applies, so the price you see is the price you pay, with nothing added at checkout. unKeep takes no commission on sales: the goods money is paid in cash, seller to buyer, and never passes through unKeep.

Safety and privacy
How is my address protected?

Before a reservation, only an approximate area (a neighbourhood or town) is shown. Once a buyer reserves, they see your street and full postcode with a coarse area pin so they can plan their journey; your exact address (house number and second line) and the precise map pin unlock only at the start of your collection day (00:00 UK time), so your home stays private until the morning of handover. unKeep does not track your location, and uploaded photos have their GPS and EXIF metadata stripped before publishing. Still review your photos, since what is visible in them can reveal information.

What can't I buy or sell?

Prohibited items include weapons, stolen goods, drugs, counterfeits, recalled or unsafe products, medicines, hazardous materials, fireworks, live animals, alcohol, tobacco and vapes, and anything illegal to sell. Restricted items such as household knives, electrical goods, and upholstered furniture are allowed only if they meet specific safety requirements. If you are unsure, do not list it and contact support first.

How do I report someone or stay safe at a collection?

Report a listing, message, or user with the in-app report tool, or block someone from your settings (no explanation needed). If you ever feel unsafe at a collection, leave and call 999 if you are in danger. You are never penalised for cancelling a collection because you felt unsafe, and unKeep acts on reports, up to removing listings and closing accounts.
