unKeep Fees and Pricing
Last updated: 20 June 2026
This page sets out every fee unKeep charges, what each one is for, and when it is taken. We show all fees before you commit to anything, with no hidden charges and nothing added at the last step (the law calls this "no drip pricing"). All prices include VAT where it applies.
unKeep is operated by AllMumsTalk Limited (company number 08233578), registered office 5 Golden Mede, Waddesdon, England, HP18 0NG. If anything here is unclear, contact us at connect@unkeep.co.uk.
1. The short version
- Browsing on unKeep is free, and there is no subscription to buy. A free account can make offers and reserve within 15 miles of home and gets 10 listings per calendar month. Reserving an item charges a 1.00 reservation fee (see below).
- Creating or using multiple accounts (for example multiple email addresses) to get more than the 10 free listings a month is prohibited.
- Sellers get 10 AI-drafted listings a month free, with no subscription; the Seller Agent subscription adds 100 a month on top, for 110 a month in total.
- Buyer Agent lets you watch (hunt) unKeep for the listings you want, up to 5 hunts at once. It proposes matches and prompts you to reserve; it never auto-reserves. It is an optional monthly subscription.
- Ultra Radius (removes the 15-mile collection limit so you can reserve and collect anywhere in the UK) is an optional monthly subscription, available on its own to a buyer or a seller.
- Making or receiving an offer costs nothing. As a buyer you can reserve an item at the seller's asking price, or make a private offer below it; either way the only fee is the 1.00 reservation fee, charged when you reserve.
- Reserving an item charges a 1.00 GBP reservation fee immediately, whether you reserve at the asking price or at a price the seller has accepted from an offer. You collect within a fixed 1-hour slot you choose when you reserve. It is non-refundable if you cancel your reservation or do not collect within that slot, and refunded if the collection cannot go ahead through no fault of yours.
- unKeep takes no commission on the sale. The price of the goods is paid directly by the buyer to the seller, in cash, in person, at collection. That money never passes through unKeep.
2. Fee table
All amounts are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include any VAT due. "Per month" subscriptions renew automatically each month until you cancel (see section 5).
| What you pay for | Who pays | Price (VAT included) | How often | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Browsing and buyer account | Buyer | 0.00 (free) | No subscription | Searching, viewing listings, and using the app as a buyer needs no subscription. Making or receiving an offer is also free. Reserving an item charges the 1.00 reservation fee shown below. |
| Seller Agent | Seller | 9.99 | Per month | Photograph items and have AI draft and price each listing, publish listings, and manage collections. Adds 100 AI-drafted listings a month on top of the 10 free everyone gets, for 110 a month in total. Creating or using multiple accounts (for example multiple email addresses) to get more than the 10 free listings a month is prohibited. |
| Buyer Agent | Buyer (optional) | 9.99 | Per month | Watch (hunt) unKeep for the listings you want, up to 5 hunts at once. It proposes matches and prompts you to reserve; it never auto-reserves. The agent is optional; you can find and reserve items without it. |
| Ultra Radius | Buyer or seller (optional, standalone) | 4.99 | Per month | Removes the 15-mile collection limit so you can reserve and collect anywhere in the UK. Can be bought on its own, whether or not you have any other subscription. |
| Reservation fee | Buyer | 1.00 | Per reservation | A platform service fee charged immediately when you reserve an item, whether you reserve at the asking price or at a price the seller has accepted from an offer: a real charge, not a hold. Making or receiving an offer is free; the fee applies only when you reserve. It pays for unKeep facilitating the reservation - reserving the item for you, taking it off the market for other buyers, revealing the handover location, and arranging the QR-confirmed collection. Non-refundable if you cancel your reservation or do not collect within your reserved 1-hour slot. Refunded where the collection cannot go ahead through no fault of yours. See section 4. |
There are no per-sale fees, no commission, no withdrawal fees, no insertion fees, and no payment-processing surcharge passed on to you.
2.1 Add-ons (one-time, not a subscription)
Add-ons are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. They do not auto-renew.
| Add-on | Who pays | Price (VAT included) | How often | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Extra Listings | Seller (optional) | 4.99 per pack of 25 | One-time, repeatable | Adds 25 AI-drafted listings on top of your monthly allowance. This is a one-time add-on pack, not a subscription: it does not auto-renew. Buy as many packs as you need. The listings never expire and are used only after your monthly allowance is used up that month. Packs are non-refundable. |
The rows above are the only fees unKeep charges.
2.2 Worked example
A buyer who reserves and collects one item pays unKeep 1.00, the reservation fee, charged when they reserve. Because the collection goes ahead, the fee is earned and kept by unKeep for the reservation service it provided. The buyer pays the seller the full agreed price separately, in cash, in person, at collection.
A buyer who instead makes an offer pays nothing to make it. If the seller accepts and the buyer then reserves at the agreed price, the same 1.00 reservation fee is charged at that point, exactly as it would be when reserving at the asking price. The agreed price is still paid to the seller in cash, in person, at collection.
A seller pays 9.99 per month for 100 AI-drafted listings on top of the 10 free everyone gets (110 a month in total). A seller who needs more buys an Extra Listings add-on pack (4.99) for another 25 listings, a one-time purchase that does not auto-renew and can be repeated as needed; the extra listings never expire and are used only after the monthly allowance is used up that month. The seller pays no per-sale fee or commission either way.
A buyer who wants the AI Buyer Agent and a wider radius pays 9.99 plus 4.99, which is 14.99 per month, on top of the 1.00 reservation fee charged each time they reserve an item.
3. unKeep takes no commission and never handles the goods money
This is central to how unKeep works, so we state it plainly.
3.1 The sale price of an item is agreed between buyer and seller and paid directly, buyer to seller, in cash, in person, at the point of collection.
3.2 unKeep is not a party to the sale of goods. It does not handle, hold, route, process, or take a cut of the money paid for goods. We do not operate an escrow, a wallet, or a stored balance, and we do not move money between users.
3.3 Because the goods money is settled in cash off the platform, unKeep does not record the final agreed sale price. Our subscription and reservation fees are charged for unKeep's own services only.
3.4 Items are sold as seen. Inspect an item on collection before you pay for it. Because the sale is directly between buyer and seller, there are no returns through the app. Your legal rights against the seller are unaffected (see the Buyer Terms and Seller Terms).
4. The reservation fee (1.00) explained
The reservation fee is the part people ask about most, so here is exactly how it works.
4.1 What it is. The 1.00 is unKeep's reservation fee: a platform service fee for facilitating a reservation. It pays for unKeep reserving the item for you, taking it off the market for other buyers, revealing the handover location, and arranging the QR-confirmed collection. It is not a deposit, not stored value, not a wallet, not customer money held by unKeep, not e-money, and not a penalty. It is not transferable or spendable. It is a small, fixed fee for unKeep's own reservation service.
4.2 Charged immediately when you reserve. When you reserve an item, the 1.00 is charged to your saved card straight away. It is a real charge, captured at the point of reservation: the money leaves your account when you reserve. It is not a hold, an authorisation, or an earmark, and it is never set against or deducted from the price you pay the seller for the goods.
4.2a The same fee whether you reserve at the asking price or via an offer. You can reserve an item at the seller's asking price, or make a private offer below it. Making or receiving an offer costs nothing. If the seller accepts your offer, you are invited to reserve at the agreed price, and the 1.00 reservation fee is charged when you reserve, the same fee as reserving at the asking price. The fee does not change with the price of the goods.
4.3 Non-refundable if the failure is yours. You must collect within your reserved 1-hour slot. The reservation fee is non-refundable if you cancel your reservation or do not collect within that slot (a no-show). You paid for the reservation service and unKeep provided it, so the 1.00 is earned and kept.
4.4 Refunded when it is not your fault. The reservation fee is refunded where the collection cannot go ahead through no fault of yours: the seller cancels, delists, does not turn up, the item is not as described, or the seller closes their account; or unKeep cancels (for example a prohibited item, a takedown, or a suspension). Refunds are automatic where unKeep can determine fault, such as when the seller closes their account; otherwise contact us at connect@unkeep.co.uk and we refund.
4.5 No-show consequence is reputational, not extra money. If you do not collect within your reserved 1-hour slot, the only consequence is to your rating: an automatic downvote is applied. The fee was already taken when you reserved, so nothing extra is charged. After a completed collection, the buyer and seller rate each other (two-way ratings); a no-show auto-applies a downvote to the party who did not turn up.
4.6 QR collection. At handover, the buyer shows a single-use QR code and the seller scans it with their camera to confirm the collection. You pay the seller the full agreed price in cash, in person, at collection. unKeep is not a party to the sale of goods and never handles, holds, or routes the goods money: the 1.00 reservation fee is entirely separate from the goods price.
4.7 Limit on active reservations. You can have up to 5 active reservations at any one time. There is one reservation fee per reservation. This keeps reservations meaningful for sellers.
4.8 What you save first. When you set up your account you save a card with no money taken. The 1.00 reservation fee is charged against that saved card at the point of each reservation.
Full detail is in the Reservation Fee Policy, which this page summarises.
5. Subscriptions, renewals and cooling-off
5.1 Auto-renewal. The Seller Agent subscription, Buyer Agent subscription, and Ultra Radius subscription are monthly subscriptions that renew automatically each month until cancelled. We tell you the price and the renewal terms before you subscribe. The Extra Listings add-on is a one-time pack and does not auto-renew.
5.2 14-day cooling-off. As a consumer you have a 14-day right to cancel a new subscription under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, starting the day after you subscribe.
5.3 Starting straight away. If you want your subscription to work immediately, within the 14-day cooling-off period, you can give express consent to start now. If you then cancel within the 14 days, we refund the part you have not used on a pro-rata basis (a fair share back for the remainder of the period).
5.4 Cancelling. You can cancel any subscription from your account at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for, subject to the cooling-off rules above.
Full detail is in the Subscription Terms.
6. Changes to fees
6.1 We may change our fees from time to time. We will give you clear, advance notice of any change to a subscription you hold before it takes effect, and the change will only apply from your next renewal, so you can cancel first if you do not want to continue.
6.2 Any new price is always shown to you before you commit. We do not add fees at the final step and we do not advertise a price that is not the price you pay (no drip pricing, in line with the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024).
7. VAT and receipts
7.1 All prices on this page include VAT where VAT applies. The price you see is the price you pay.
7.2 You can view and download receipts for your unKeep subscription and add-on charges in your account.
7.3 Cash paid to a seller for goods is between you and the seller. unKeep does not issue receipts for the goods sale, because it is not a party to that sale and does not record the price.
8. Fairness
Our fees are designed to be simple, fixed and transparent, with nothing hidden and nothing that operates as a penalty. We aim to meet the fairness requirements of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the consumer-protection rules in the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024. Nothing on this page limits your statutory rights.
